Teacher Climate Superpowers is a free platform that has been designed with teachers across Australia, to support teacher and student wellbeing in the face of climate change.

It is a choose-your-own-adventure kind of resource, so you can engage through the formats for learning and reflection that suit you best.

It is designed for multiple purposes: to support teacher wellbeing; as a professional development resource to help teachers support student learning and wellbeing; to provide practical resources e.g. lesson plans, classroom activity resources; and to help like-minded teachers connect and share ideas.

Teacher Climate Superpowers is available free of change – simply create an account with your email address to get started!

The Teacher Climate Superpowers platform includes:

• An updated and extended set of student activity resources including a flexible lesson plan and slide deck
• A quiz for teachers to explore
• A guided reflection ‘action plan’ tool
• A ‘pulse check’ exercise for checking in with your own and your students’ climate emotions
• Self-paced modules (with video and interactive content) on:
  • student climate wellbeing
  • teacher climate wellbeing
• Downloadable certificates for your professional development records

We are always open to collaborating with teachers in continuing to develop and pilot these resources. We want to hear from you about how we can best support you and your school community!

At the University of Melbourne, we are also conducting researchers to increase understanding of the experiences and strategies of teachers in relation to climate change. This includes a focus on teacher wellbeing as well as student wellbeing and learning.
