Teacher wellbeing resources

The Climate Superpowers team at the University of Melbourne are conducting a project called Teacher Climate Superpowers in 2024-2025.

This will include the creation of resources specifically designed to support the wellbeing of teachers, in recognition of the important role many teachers are playing in supporting students who are concerned – this can raise challenges, but with the appropriate support this role can be overall one that is positive for the wellbeing of both teachers and students.

These teacher wellbeing-focused resources complement the Classroom resources which are focused on supporting student learning and wellbeing.

We are seeking to collaborate with teachers in developing and piloting these resources.

If you are a teacher, there are a range of ways you could be involved, including:

  • being interviewed for this research, if you feel your wellbeing has been affected (in good, bad or complex ways) by climate change and your role as a teachers – register your interest via this form. A $50 gift card will be provided as thanks.
  • providing feedback on draft resources.
  • piloting the Climate Superpowers resources in your school.

If you are a teacher or work at a school and would like to learn more about this project and opportunities to get involved, please contact us.

You can subscribe to our newsletter for occasional updates.
